MSB 2005 Call For Works
Deadline for Works: September 30, 2005
** All submissions must be received by above date
Postmark dates will not be considered **
2005 Concert Date: November 10, 2005
most significant bytes seeks primarily video and
sound compositions in which sound plays a crucial role
(please no short narrative films).
Some electronic sound-only compositions will be also be considered.

Only the following types of works will be considered:
|
- Submit no more than two (2) works total.
- Submissions with more than 2 works enclosed will not be reviewed.
- No incomplete submissions will be considered.
Acceptable Media
- Multimedia Video Works
- DVD (Playable on a Macintosh with DVD Drive)
- DVD submissions must also include a QuickTime version (mp4 format 320 x 240)
- Do not encode QuickTime version in mpeg-1 format
- Beginning with the 2005 concert VHS tapes will no longer be accepted
- Digital Videos works
- Provide a QuickTime version - suitable for full screen playback
- Also provide a QuickTime mp4 version 320 x 240
- Sound sampling/digital audio works which include visuals
- Provide a QuickTime version (mp4)
- Provide digital visuals which can be delivered live and via the web
- Electronic Sound Works
- A limited number of sound only works (without visuals) may be programed
- Sound only works should not exceed 7 minutes.

- Electronic works with Live Performers will not be considered for 2005
- Questions
- Please contact Jerome Miskell before sending works utilizing media not listed above.
- Works will not be accepted without the following:
- Send works either on Audio CD, CD-R, CD-RW, or DVD (No floppies please)
- MIDI files and sound only works may be sent as e-mail attachments or via ftp addresses
- Send a SASE if you wish your materials to be returned
- Materials without a SASE will be discarded after the 2005 concert
- Send a SAS postcard if you wish verification of receipt of your materials
